Lueretha Jones-Slack worked for numerous companies in the Human Resource and Community Reinvestment ACT (CRA) arenas during her long career in the Financial services industry. She retired from Comerica Bank on December 31, 2017. Where she was the Vice President-North Texas and Austin CRA Manager.
Lueretha attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland where she received her B.S. degree in Business Administration, is a lifetime member of the national alumni association, she was one of the founding members of the Morgan State University Dallas Fort Worth Alumni Chapter and served as the president from 2015-2017 and 2020. She was a member of The Turner 12 Board of Directors for over 8 years. She was a member of the Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC) – Dallas Chapter where she served on the advisory board, as President for two years and the Regional Representative for the Southwest Region on the UFSC National Board for two years. She was on the board of directors for Jeffries Street Learning Center, where she was the founder of the Kid Sister Mentoring Program, a girl mentoring program, Junior Players and Consumer Credit Counseling Service, where she served on the Executive Committee. She was appointed and served on the City of Dallas Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center Advisory Board for eight years. She was appointed Chairperson of the Board by former Mayor Ron Kirk and served in that capacity for four years.
She is married to Norman Slack and lives in Cedar Hill, Texas. She is a member of Friendship West Baptist Church and very active in its Social Justice Ministry.
